How to Apply
Traveling Scholar applications are accepted on a rolling basis and should be submitted at least 6 weeks prior to the start of the semester/quarter. Applications arriving after the deadline may not be accepted by the host university.
Applicants must identify either a course, proposed research, and/or work in a specific lab. Traveling Scholars physically attend courses at another Big Ten Academic Alliance campus. This may require relocating to another community for the duration of the term of instruction. Relocation costs are paid by the student.
The entire approval process at both the home and host university can take several weeks. Students must receive approval from the individuals listed below. The student must enter the names and email address for the individuals with an asterisk in their application to initiate the formal approval process. Students must submit a separate application for each semester/quarter.
